With an elegant upswept hilt with large flared quillons, this sword is both beautiful and functional. Named after the swords seen in and around Portugal, this single-handed sword offers large enough rings in the hilt that you can easily slip a finger through the guard, even with heavy padded gloves. The blade is relatively flexible and functions well when paired with other-single handed swords, such as the Blackfencer arming sword.

A Great Sword!

This was my first sword from SoCal Swords and it doesn’t disappoint. Used it to spar with a few other sword types and it was able to use the hilt to catch opponents swords when they were coming in for swings. The length of the sword also works well for opponents at a medium and close range. Would defiantly get this sword again when looking for my next HEMA sword.
