Blackfencer Steel Feder V2

$295

Only 1 piece in stock!

Blackfencer steel is always being improved and updated, however we feel they have done enough improvements to reach a full V2 status! These new feders are stronger than ever before with a better manufacturing process to improve durability and strength. The grind has been improved to increase flexibility without compromising handling, and the new schilt is now very similar to historical models found in museums. The crossguard was recently updated to be hardened steel and resist bending and damage. The steel feder from Blackfencer fits into the category of "long" feders, but balances like a much smaller, lighter sword. Engineered with a beefy crossguard, a durable cord-wrapped handle, and a unique schilt shape, this affordable feder is a great entry into the world of steel fighting and should serve you well in the club or in a tournament.

Perfect First Feder

I received my Blackfencer steel feder within a week of ordering from SoCalSwords despite USPS delays. It came well packaged, and so far I have been extremely happy with it. I am brand new to HEMA German longsword and am practicing drills alone but hope to do some sparring later this year. All in all, a great first sword in my opinion, could be more flexible for beginner thrusting, but time will tell. Feels solid and great in the hands and no issues with rust; it also has well rounded over edges which will hopefully prevent future burrs from sparring.

My Steel Feder has served me well and continues to do so. It came in longer than most feders and is relatively lighter than you’d think it be. I saw a review here that says when the steel feder goes, it goes. I can guarantee it GOES. You wouldn’t be disappointed by getting this feder.
Happy fencing ladies and gents!
