Rattlesnake Mask Overlay

For the price this is a very protective cover that is fairly easy to slip on and off once you figure out the trick to it. Fits my PBT size 2 just fine despite it being shaped a bit different than other masks.
The overlay plastic is a bit softer than I thought it would be, but it still protects well and dampens much more noise than the Cobra due to the fabric cover. It does make your head look huge though, which is the only con I can think of.

While I still don’t consider any standard fencing mask as adequate protection from heavy percussive cuts to the head from most market feders, I don’t think there’s any other overlay on the market that has this level of protection while still being fairly light. Probably the current best overlay option for heavier sparring and competition.

Assembling it isn't the easiest thing in the world since it comes with zero instructions. Other than that it's a pretty great overlay. It's protective without reducing too much mobility. It also allows better airflow than something like the Trinity.

Nice overlay

I'm glad I was wearing this while sparring last night! This overlay effectively distributed the point of impact in a blow to the back of my head.
It's also light enough that I forget it's on my mask while I'm wearing it.
Highly recommended for anyone who is still using a standard fencing mask.

Longsword: easier to do high guards rather than a normal overlay, was hit in the head - felt barely anything - during grappling it definitely felt better landing with this helmet rather than my old overlay.
