Wukusi Armory

Wukusi Steel Federschwert (Long)

$250

We have a brand new version of this feder, it's VERY different now! The blade has been completely redesigned to be lighter and more flexible, with a far stronger tang design to prevent breakage. The handle has also been redesigned and is no longer 3d printed, but rather injection molded! The current pictures are outdated until we take new ones.

This budget-friendly steel feder from Wukusi has a ton of great features at a great price. The sword can be disassembled to upgrade to new guards, handles, pommels, or even blades, yet rarely requires tightening or adjustments due to the clever locking washer construction. The handle is a durable 3D-printed design that we have been pressure testing at SoCal Swords for over a year with great results. The guards are cast steel with enough strength to damage a blade before the guard ever bends or breaks (trust us... we tried).

Included with the feder is a hard carrying case with two sword compartments and two zippered pockets.

The default configuration of the feder comes with a black straight cross guard and rounded pommel, but there are a variety of other pommels and guards available to swap in to your sword. We will have spare blades and additional colored handles soon!

Specs:
53” overall length
39.25” blade

2.5” point of balance
~3 lb 4 oz weight

So far so good

This is for the updated model. Notes:
Safe in the thrust. Doesn't wobble laterally. Schilt is a bit narrow. Plastic grip seems to be good enough, plenty durable. Tip is a bit narrow, will probably need additional protection. Handle is 13 1/2 inches long?! Wild. Handles nicely. No noticeable hand shock. Easily disassembled. Crossguard is plenty sturdy. Nice price. Shipped to me in just a few days. The tang construction is actually pretty ingenious, was very impressed. digital text looks so off on a weapon like this, It's easily sanded off. 👍

A beautiful sword, and you probably should buy it

Great for discreet travel or for storage/safety concerns for kids if you need it.
You cannot have the sword fully assembled in the case it comes with, so try to arrive early to wherever you take it, assembly is quick but not instant.
Additionally SoCal will place any additional parts like different guards or pommels in the case for transport if you order it at the same time, which is convenient.
(Long) feels appropriate too.

Great affordable feder

This is a fairly light feder that feels nimble without feeling flimsy in the bind. Very happy with it. The included hard shell case is really nice - especially considering the price point. I chose this over other options because of the customization options.

Not worth it and potentially dangerous.

The price point makes it seem like a steal, but unfortunately these feders have a lot of structural issues. From the tang and welded on threading snapping and the overall fit of the parts, the sword just doesn’t feel safe to use. I unfortunately had to retire mine as the grip does not slide on/off the blade easily at all and the bolt that holds the pommel on does not sit on the threadings correctly.

Additionally, all of the modular/ replacement parts are relatively expensive and have a very limited stock making to total cost of the sword just as expensive as any other feder.

I will say, the blade is pretty robust and the 3D printed grip is pretty durable, but that doesn’t help the sketchy fit and build quality making the blade overall pretty dangerous to use.

Socal Swords provided pretty great customer service. The issue is definitely with wukusi’s build quality.
