It chipped on the first spar. Although according to Blackfencer this is rare, do bear in mind that this is a risk that you'll have to take on your own. This is the fourth sword I got from Blackfencer and the fifth from SoCal. I am very saddened and feel unfortunate for the result.
The sword is absolutely beautiful. However it is heavier than other steel arming swords in my club and the Point of Balance is pretty high (roughly 10-11cm, or 4’ from cross guard). Definitely a lot heavier in hand than the synthetic black fencer arming swords.
