"Gabriel" 2.0.3 5-Fingered HEMA Glove

$330

These are the first set of 5-fingered gloves that we have been comfortable using in our school, offering superior protection and dexterity right out of the box compared to similar models. You will be able to use new gripping methods that weren't possible with your old mitten gloves and enter grapples with ease.

Even so, know that being hit on a single finger can be very painful. Currently, no 5-fingered gloves offer the protection that a good mitten glove can provide. The 2.0.3 versions have had improvements made to protect against thrusts getting between the fingers, and have additional padding on the sides of the index and pinky fingers.

Every set of gloves comes in a carrying bag and with some replacement parts. More parts are available on request.

For sizing, measure around the palm and the length of the finger, then refer to the sizing listed below:

Gabriel 2.0.3.5

I have not used the Gabriel 2.0.3.5 gloves in anger yet, the are reasonably comfortable to wear and feel very light. They are a but stiff in the beginning so you will need to wear them in and get a forearm workout, but im more than happy with them. I've had a few reasonably hard knocks on my left pinky, and while I certainly felt it, it didn't really hurt. The fingers and thumbs feel dextrous and facilitate more grip variations than clamshell mittens. The plates are reasonably thick, but i wonder how durable and if the longevity will hold up. I dont plan to do full contact sparring so they should last a while, but time will tell. I spent more on my new gloves, because they look very cool and mittens feel restrictive. Horses for courses, i would rather wear clams if I wanted to enter a tourney, which i don't. I'm not saying thay they would not be capable, but i cannot afford to destruction test them for you :)! They are sized small so if you have longish fingers, you may want to go choose the size up. Get them if you want to add more finesse and subtlety to your sword play, if you go to war get them if you can afford it, otherwise get the clams.

Awesome gloves for sparing and practice. Great mobility. Others in the club have Gabriel gloves that are older and they seem to hold up over time with sparring.

Lovely; at least my sparring partners think so!

Whilst I haven't personally had the chance to give them a go in too much of my own sparring. I've given them to opponents to use and all they've done is sing praises (I'm currently in the market for forearm protectors, so have hilariously found little opportunity to give these guys a good go. I have worn and used them in some sparring but not enough to give a big opinion of my own).

We love these. They fit and feel perfect. Amazing protection. Only note is to buy a larger size than you measure for.
